Portfolio Works of the Past and Present
I hope you enjoy this showcase of my mixed media adventures! It is my belief that to be an artist is to experiment with both concepts and media, so some of the projects you may see are still being explored and altered. If you are interested in purchasing any of these more intensive pieces, or want to request a commission, please click the button below for some additional information!
"By the Window", 2024
Gouache, acrylic paint marker, and colored pencil on wood panel.
An experimental piece that highlights the importance of portraying queerness in everyday settings.
"Rooted in Solidarity", 2025
In the two years of genocide, and 50+ years of occupation, I have seen nothing but resilience from the Palestinian people. I recently read "Stitching The Intifada" and knew then that I wanted my midterm to be inspired loosely by what I had read. I planned my pieces of fabric in a way that's very similar to how stained glass pieces are made, and once I had it all pieced together, I spent hours top stitching to create the finished quilt. The details on the fists are hand embroidered and the fabric was pieced together using appliqué techniques. I started this piece before the so called "ceasefire" and continued working on it as Israel continued to massacre civilians. Much like the olive tree, which is native to Palestine, the people there are just as rooted in the soil of their homeland. Though the future of this"ceasefire" remains uncertain, I feel confident that the world is now awake and has its eyes on Palestine. This being said, we owe it to our fellow humans to refuse to turn away. Your empathy, your solidarity, should extend to all humans, especially those who have fought for their entire lives to engage in simple freedoms like flying their own flag. Free Palestine.
"Old Enough", 2024
